Block Captains
Every block needs a captain.
A Block Captain is a neighbor who keeps your block connected: someone who knows who lives nearby, who might need help, and where to meet when the power's out or the road is closed. Block Captains are the North End's point of contact in an emergency.

What your Block Captain does
- Holds a short block get-together once or twice a year
- Keeps your block's contact list and map. They own it; it never goes on the website.
- Knows where your block meets after a disaster
- After a disaster, checks on the block (in pairs) and passes needs and damage reports to their Area Lead, by radio or Meshtastic if phones and internet are down
- Shares updates when Response Mode is on
How it fits together: Residents → Block Captain → Area Lead (Kingston · Eglon / Little Boston · Hansville / Point No Point) → Coordinator.
