Rotate yearly. Make sure the clothes still fit!

About water. A go-bag needs at least 1 quart per person per day for 2–3 days. That's only the go-bag minimum. At home, plan for 1 gallon per person, per day, for 14 days.

Under the bed

For getting out safely after a quake at night. Tie a small bag to the bed leg:

  • Sturdy shoes and leather gloves
  • Flashlight and whistle
  • Spare glasses
  • Hard hat or bike helmet
  • Your North End OK / HELP sign

Car kit

For a closure on SR 104 or Hansville Road, a long ferry line, or a closed bridge: water, snacks, a blanket, rain gear, walking shoes, a phone charger, first aid, a flashlight, a paper map of Kitsap, and at least a half tank of gas.

Store it right

Use a container you can carry. Keep it in one place, and make sure everyone at home knows where.
